Meet Our Principal: Brad Hines

FOUNDATIONS

Brad is born and raised in Seattle, WA and earned his BA and BS in Architecture from Washington State University in 2001. He spent a year in Tokyo at Nihon University working on his thesis.

EARLY CAREER

He worked with AKS Architects in Seattle for over three years.

GLOBAL EXPERIENCE

He completed his Master’s in Architecture at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and worked with Nikken Sekkei, Toyo Ito, and Sekisui House.

RETURN TO THE US

He worked in Sun Valley, Idaho with Architecture Plus and Susan Desko, AIA.

ONGOING WORK

He earned a Master of Science in Green Building and continues to stay current with building methods.

PRACTICE TODAY

He has been working in Seattle for the last 20 years. He leads the practice, working with a small group of drafters, designers, architects, construction managers, and engineers to keep work consistent and efficient.

Our Associate Architect: Jillian Vergara Llanes

FOUNDATIONS

Jillian L. is a licensed architect delivering residential, hospitality, educational, façade, and mixed-use projects. Her work combines strong design thinking with technical expertise and construction knowledge. She graduated BS Architecture from Mapúa University and further refined her artistic foundation through formal atelier training in classical drawing and painting.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Jillian has worked on projects across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Southeast Asia. This experience has provided her with a global perspective on design, building regulations, and project delivery.

DESIGN APPROACH

She focuses on wellness architecture bespoke to clients that targets prolonged and quality life fit for true human form. Her book about wellness architecture inspired by past abandoned traditional design practices is still a work in progress, for now she executes her knowledge about wellness + design to her current firm for her purpose is to help people gain blue zone homes.

CURRENT PRACTICE

She currently serves as an Associate Architect with Cascadia Design-Build in Seattle, overseeing all phases of project development from design concept through permit issuance and technical documentation.
